PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of axial gap motor that does not have the problem of securing the stator to a case and that is capable of obtaining a compound drive axial gap motor. SOLUTION: In the structure of axial gap motor having a stator and a rotor arranged facing along the rotary shaft, more than one rotor, two rotors 3-1 and 3-2 in this case, are arranged between two stators 4-1 and 4-2. Preferably, the rotor 3 comprises a rotor back core 7, magnets 8 provided at the opposite surfaces of the rotor back core, and a rotor core 9 of magnetic material arranged between the magnets, while penetrating the rotor back core. Alternatively, the rotor 3 comprises the rotor back core 7, magnets 8 provided on one surface of the rotor back core, and a rotor core 9 of magnetic material arranged between the magnets, while being fitted into the rotor back core.
