<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate such as magnetic card, from the surface of which fluorescence cannot be recognized in the presence of ultraviolet light included in a solar light or an indoor light, and further, it is impossible to visually determine whether a fluorescent printed pictorial pattern is present under the reflection of a visible light such as the solar light or the indoor light, but on the other hand, which enables the fluorescence of sufficient intensity to be obtained by virtue of the irradiaton with an ultraviolet light source, and a method for manufacturing the laminate. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for forming a fluorescent pictorial pattern on a recording medium, a region 2 for forming the fluorescent pictorial pattern is formed in a transfer material of the laminate for transfer to be used for the manufacture of the magnetic card or the like or on a base material to which the transfer material is transferred. After that, a fluorescent agent is diffused from the region 2 to a direction near the surface of the transfer material after transfer by heating through the aging of the laminate for transfer or heating by a thermal pressure press during manufacturing the card. Thus, the fluorescent printed pictorial pattern which is distinguishable by the irradiation with the ultraviolet light source from the surface of the card or the like is formed.
