PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-frequency signal transmission conductor indicating damping characteristics substantially independent from frequencies in a given frequency range, and also, reducing a non-linear type phase response of a conductor about the frequencies. SOLUTION: The compound conductor with improved high-frequency signal transmission characteristics includes a conductive substrate and a conductive coating arranged as in a formula on the conductive substrate. Preferably, the conductive substrate is selected from a group of iron, nickel, iron alloy and nickel alloy, the conductive cover is selected from a group of silver, copper, gold, aluminum and tin, and the conductive cover has a thickness substantially the same with a depth of a surface of the conductive cover.
