PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for an electrical component, capable of easily coping with the case where the position of the electrode of the electrical component changes, and excellent in operability. SOLUTION: This socket 11 for the electrical component has a plurality of electrical component contact bodies 15, 16 disposed on a wiring board. Liquid crystal devices 12 are housed in the electrical component contact bodies 15, 16, and the liquid crystal devices 12 are electrically connected to the electrical component contact bodies 15, 16. Each electrical component contact body 15, 16 has a main contact body 21, a contact pin 22 disposed in the main contact body 21 and electrically connected to a liquid crystal display panel electrode 12b, and an operating member 23 disposed in the main contact body 21 to elastically deform the contact pin 22, and the operating members 23 of the electrical component contact bodies 15, 16 are linked to each other by an operating member linking rod 23g so that the operating members 23 are each simultaneously operated.
