PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting the position of a magnetic head which can easily and accurately adjust the position of the magnetic head, and to provide an optical magnetic recorder and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: By using a linear core mark 59 formed so as to connect ends that are not covered with adhesives 58 perpendicular to ends covered with the adhesives is used at the central position between the ends covered with the adhesives 58 in a core 53 fit into a slider groove of a slider 54, the relative position of the magnetic head 32 with respect to a light spot is adjusted so as to make the core mark 59 coincide with the position of the light spot emitted from a pickup 3.
