PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetically sealed photonic device package and a polymer sealing means which is used for the purpose of connecting one or more optical fibers with the photonic device. SOLUTION: A sealing means is provided for connecting one or more optical fibers with the photonic device. The sealing means includes: a molded article containing at least 80% of one or more liquid crystal polymers and having an outer surface; one or more optical fibers arranged to go through the molded article and molded at a prescribed place inside the molded article; and the molded article being shaped so as to be able to couple with a mating part on the housing of the photonic device.
