PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removable aqueous adhesive composition of one pack type, usable for applications such as pressure sensitive adhesive tapes, pressure sensitive adhesive sheets, pressure sensitive adhesive labels and surface protection films, excellent in adhesiveness, retentivity and curved surface adhesion to several adherends, hardly causing adhesiveness change with the lapse, excellent in stain resistance such as remaining no adhesive deposit when removed, and having excellent water resistance. SOLUTION: The removable aqueous adhesive composition comprises an emulsion [A], a crosslinking agent [B] and a phosphate ester-based compound [C], wherein the emulsion [A] is obtained by emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture in the presence of an anionic reactive emulsifier which mixture comprises 50-99.9 wt.% alkyl (meth)acrylate ester (a1) containing a 4-12C alkyl, 0.1-10 wt.% unsaturated monomer (a2) containing carboxy, and 0-49.9 wt.% other unsaturated monomer (a3).
