PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink composition which does not become nonuniform even after the passage of time, keeps the dispersed system of ink stable even after low or high temperature storage as well as ordinary temperature, has also almost no variation of viscosity, and can obtain the same feeling of writing as the initial condition, and excellent in long time storage stability. SOLUTION: The aqueous ink composition comprises at least a water-soluble polymer polysaccharide (A) expressed by general formula (I) (in formula (I), M represents an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal chosen from sodium, potassium, and 1/2 calcium, and n is 10<SP>2</SP>-10<SP>10</SP>) and at least one sort chosen from water-soluble polymer polysaccharides (B) other than this water soluble polymer polysaccharide.
