PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new copolymer of a salt of diallyl dialkyl ammonium except chlorides with sulfur dioxide. SOLUTION: The copolymer of a diallyl dialkyl ammonium alkyl sulfate with sulfur dioxide comprises the diallyl dialkyl ammonium alkyl sulfate unit and the sulfur dioxide unit.
