PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously monitor oxygen saturation concentration in blood by forming a pulsating flow with a simple apparatus near the peripheral part of a living body, oxygen saturation concentration of which is monitored in a cardiovascular surgery using an artificial heart and lung. SOLUTION: The pulsation flow generator is equipped with a pressure belt 10 capable of winding on a part near the peripheral of the living body, air hoses 12 and 14 communicating with the pressure belt, a pump 30 for sending air to the pressure belt through the air hoses, an air opening valve 40 attached to the air hose to open the air in the pressure belt, a pressure detector 50 for detecting the air pressure in the pressure belt, a control means 60 for receiving the pressure signal from this pressure detector and sending work/stop signals to the pump and the air opening valve based on the set target pressure and repeating period, and the pulsating flow generator generates the pulsating flow at the peripheral part of the living body during operation of the artificial heart and lung.
