<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrolyte solution capable of enhancing storage characteristics of a battery through restraint of generation of inner gas during storage of an alkaline battery, a method of manufacturing the electrolyte solution, and an alkaline battery equipped with the electrolyte solution. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolyte solution for alkaline battery is composed of hydroxide of alkali metal, an indium compound and water with the indium compound dissolved in water at a concentration of 100 ppm or higher, and the alkaline battery contains the electrolyte solution. The method of manufacturing the electrolyte solution for the alkaline battery comprises a first process of dissolving the hydroxide of alkali metal and the indium compound in water, and a second process of diluting the mixture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
