<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for internal combustion engines having primary and secondary coils using a bobbin for reducing a peripheral speed difference at the outer corner of four corners of the body cylindrical section of the bobbin. <P>SOLUTION: The bobbins 21, 22 of the primary coil 11 and the secondary coil 12 form each sectional outer periphery of the outer corner of four corners of the body cylindrical section in a square cylindrical shape in an arc for forming one portion of a circle, and each arc is formed in a range to a long side 21a on a section from the position of a short side 21b on the section that is at ±21° or smaller from the center of the section horizontally each, and in a range reaching the long side 21a on the section from the position of the short side 21b on the section that is at ±159 degrees or larger from the center of the section horizontally. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
