<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material for an electrochemical element having high voltage characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode material composed of polyfluorene or its derivative has the high voltage characteristics as the electrode material for the electrochemical element such as a secondary battery and an electric double layer capacitor composed of an electrode and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution or an aqueous electrolytic solution because the n-doped oxidation-reduction potential of the derivative of polyfluorene is lower in comparison with that of a conventional conductive polymer and the p-doped oxidation-reduction potential of polyfluorene or its derivative is higher in comparison with that of the conventional conductive polymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
