<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discover a fraudulent card by using the balance of a prepaid card by simple configurations. <P>SOLUTION: The post-transaction balance of the electronic money of a prepaid card used for transaction is successively stored so as to be associated with the unique identification data of a prepaid card C in the storage part of a merchandise sales data processor (steps S11, S16). When the unique identification data of the prepaid card C to be used for transaction are stored in a storage part, and the balance of the electronic money stored in the prepaid card C is larger than the balance of the electronic money stored in the storage part so as to be associated with the unique identification data, it is determined that the prepaid card is a fraudulent card (a step S5). Thus, it is possible to discover the fraudulent card by using the balance of the prepaid card in the merchandise sales data processor without making any inquiry to the host device of headquarters in a conventional manner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
