<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard motor enhancing cooling efficiency of an electronic control unit arranged in an engine cover. <P>SOLUTION: The outboard motor is provided with a timing belt for transmitting rotation of a crank shaft of the engine to a cam shaft; a belt cover (120) for covering the timing belt; and a first suction port (126a) and a second suction port (126b) of a suction silencer arranged on an upper surface of the belt cover (120). First ECU (16) and second ECU (18) for controlling action of the outboard motor are mounted to a neighborhood to the suction ports (126a, 126b) on the upper surface of the belt cover (120). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
