PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for electrical insulation which does not contain styrene causing offensive odor and which can provide a cured product, having moisture resistance and crack resistance equivalent to or higher than those obtained using styrene, and which has high reliability. SOLUTION: The resin composition for electrical insulation contains as essential components (A) unsaturated polyester, (B) at least one kind of reactive monomer selected from among a group consisting of monofunctional or difunctional acrylic and methacrylic esters and derivatives thereof, and (C) at least one kind of reactive monomer selected from among a group consisting of trifunctional acrylic and methacrylic esters and derivatives thereof that does not have hydroxyl groups. With respect to the entire resin components, the (A) unsaturated polyester is contained in an amount of 25 to 70 wt%, while the components (B) and (C) are contained in a total amount of 30 to 75 wt%, wherein the amount of the reactive monomer of the component (C) is 5 to 10 wt%.
