PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device capable of performing high-precision phase control, without being affected by distortions of the voltage waveform or noise. SOLUTION: A signal processing circuit 14 is provided with a phase detection signal period calculating part 14b for calculating the average period of a phase detection signal S2 outputted from a phase detecting circuit 10 and a plurality of timers T1-T4 sequentially starting a time limiting operation for each input from the phase detection signal S2 with an integral multiple of the average wave period as a time limit and resuming the time-limiting operation at the end of each time limit. Timing, calculated from the lag of the time limit of each timer T1-T4 corresponding to input timing of the phase detection signal S2 first inputted after input of an operation signal S1, is used as a start timing for the time limiting operation of a delay timer 14a.
