PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic paper system excellent in portability with which writing-in is possible without preparing a power source. SOLUTION: The electronic paper system is equipped with; an electronic paper writing device 2 for transmitting electromagnetic wave including prescribed image information; and an electronic paper display device 1 for displaying an image corresponding to the image information on a nonvolatile display section 14 by receiving the transmitted electromagnetic wave. The electronic paper display device 1 is operated by storing power obtained from the received electromagnetic wave in a power storing section. The electronic paper display 1 does not require a power supply device, since the power is obtained from the electromagnetic wave and the image is displayed on the nonvolatile display section 14 by this power.
