PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device measuring ground contact conditions of an on-vehicle loading tire which can measure the configuration of ground contact and/or pressure distribution with high precision, without side slipping of tread face of the tire, during the process where the load is loading to the tire by lowering a jack. SOLUTION: A method and device measuring-ground contact situations of a vehicle loading tire so as to measure the configuration of ground contact and/or pressure distribution of a test tire 2, such that while a slide member 3 is interposed in between the base 1 and the test tire 2 so as to make a base 1 and the test tire 2 to be slidable relatively in the horizontal direction; and a transfer sheet 4 is laid on the top face of the slide member 3 to lower the test tire down toward the top face of transfer sheet 4.
