PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an ultrathin type multiwell plate usable for transportation of a microorganism, an animal cell, a DNA or the like. SOLUTION: The method for producing the ultrathin type multiwell plate comprising a sheet-laminated body having two or more hollow parts, and a water-absorbing material held in each hollow part is obtained by laminating (1) a bottom sheet, (2) a water-absorbing material-fixing sheet A having two or more through holes and stuck to the bottom sheet, (3) an intermediate sheet having holes present at the positions facing to the through holes of the water-absorbing material-fixing sheet A and having diameters larger than those of the through holes of the water-absorbing material-fixing sheet A, (4) a water-absorbing material present in the through holes of the intermediate sheet, and (5) a water-absorbing material-fixing sheet B having through holes present at the positions facing to the through holes of the intermediate sheet, and having diameters smaller than those of the intermediate sheet in order, and melt-bonding the interfaces between the water-absorbing material-fixing sheet A and the intermediate sheet, and the intermediate sheet and the water-absorbing material-fixing sheet B by the irradiation with a high-frequency wave.
