A transport device (10) comprises a video camera (16) for recording an environment of an actual route traversed by the transport device (10) and means (17) for, while capturing the images, determining actual positions of the transport device (10). Each actual position corresponds to one of the captured images. The transport device (10) further comprises a user interface (15), a transport device simulator (11) and a display (18) for providing a simulation of a route of a simulated transport device to a user. The transport device simulator (11) comprises a processor (13) for constructing the simulation based on the captured images, the corresponding actual positions and user commands from the user interface (15). The simulator (11) enables the user to interactively interfere in a simulation of a route actually driven by the real transport device.
