摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording material which forms an image with excellent fastness properties to light/heat/humidity, and a thermal transfer recording method. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal transfer recording material contains an azomethine coloring matter of a specific structure and/or a metallic complex coloring matter formed of the azomethine coloring matter and a metal. In addition, the thermal transfer recording method comprises the following procedures: an image receiving material with a coloring matter image receiving layer with a chemical compound containing a metallic ion on a support, is laminated on the thermal transfer recording material, then the thermal transfer recording material is heated in accordance with image information, and an image of a metal chelate coloring matter is formed in the image receiving material by a chemical reaction between the azomethine coloring matter or the metallic complex coloring matter and the chemical compound containing the metallic ion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
