<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small fuel cell having a structure for assuring a sealing property of a system against undesirable fuel leakage by maximizing modularity and flexibility, simplifying the structure, reducing the number of components and using economical, low-cost and widely known materials without having any practical problem in terms of performance. <P>SOLUTION: This small fuel cell has two sets of electrodes/electrolyte membranes/electrodes (MEAs (membrane-electrode assemblies)) formed on both sides of a center body having an anode-side separation chamber at its center. The MEAs are fixed to proper positions by two rings along with electric collectors corresponding to them.
