<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven cable driving device which can make the configuration of the operating amount detector of a cable simple and accurate, and to provide a motor-driven braking device. <P>SOLUTION: The motor-driven cable driving device 10 includes the motor M, a reduction gear G connected to the output shaft 25 of the motor, a nut member 26 connected to the output side of the reduction gear, a rod 32 screwed with the nut member 26 and guided so as not to be rotated by the guide member 34, and a control cable 15 having an inner cable 45 connected to the rod and a conduit 49 for guiding the inner cable.
