<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire, capable of realizing a natural fluctuation operation with a simple circuit configuration and reducing a consumed electric current, without requiring a memory or a CPU or the development of software. <P>SOLUTION: This luminaire is provided with a light source 13, a microphone 15 and a control means for changing the light intensity of the light source 13 according to the output signal of the microphone 15. The control means can be comprised of a comparison circuit 21 for generating a binary pulse signal by comparing the amplitude of the output signal of the microphone 15 with a threshold and a low pass filter 22 removing the high-frequency components of the pulse signal, to generate a control signal for changing the light intensity of the light source 13.
