<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality management method which allows information of a bearing for a wheel to be easily confirmed without detaching the bearing from a vehicle and quickly and properly copes with periodical inspections or the other inspections and to enhance the degree of traceability to allow processing condition information of a forging/lathing step, a heat treatment step, a grinding step, etc. to be easily confirmed even after shipping or delivery to customers. <P>SOLUTION: An IC tag 9 to and from which information can be recorded and read without contacting is used for a bearing 1 for a wheel and has prescribed information recorded and managed therein. The quality management method includes a step of attaching the IC tag 9 to the bearing 1, a step of recording information to the IC tag 9, and a step of reading and utilizing information recorded in the IC tag 9 at an arbitrary time after shipping. The IC tag 9 is attached to one of components such as inner and outer wheels and a hub wheel constituting the bearing 1 for the wheel or sensor relevant parts and has a identification number, a manufacturing year, information of a manufacturing place, etc. recorded therein.
