<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anaerobic water treatment apparatus capable of reliably retaining a large amount of granules in a reactor. <P>SOLUTION: The anaerobic water treatment apparatus is provided with a reactor 2 which has granules and produces treated water by treating waste water with the granules, a membrane separator 4 which is disposed in the reactor 2 and separates the granules from the treated water and an extraction pump 5 which extracts the treated water from the membrane separator 4.
