<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish compatibility between securing the stiffness/strength of a vehicle hood for protecting a colliding body and equipping the hood with a folding effect to work when an impact load equal to or more than the specified value is applied from ahead of the vehicle body. <P>SOLUTION: In the central region 14E on the inner panel 14 of the hood 10, a plurality of beads 18 as a skeleton are formed straight in the vehicle width direction. The section shape of the bead 18 appearing when cut in the vehicle front-rear direction is in a circular arc convex to over the vehicle body, and assumes approximately constant over the vehicle width.
