PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle capable of freely setting the turning track as required by a driver, and realizing a small turn in a state in which the advancing direction of the vehicle is easy to predict. SOLUTION: In the steering device for a vehicle, four wheels 4FR, 4FL, 4RR, 4RL to constitute traveling wheels of a vehicle have turning actuators 5FR, 5FL, 5RR, 5RL capable of independently controlling each turning angle, and a steering controller 6 controls each turning angle so that the axes of rotation of the wheels 4FR, 4FL, 4RR, 4RL are directed to the turning center. A steering wheel 1 can indicate the vehicular longitudinal position and the vehicular transverse position of the turning center, and the steering controller 6 controls to allow the vehicular transverse position of the turning center to be brought close to the vehicle when the turning center is moved forward of the vehicle.
