MOLD CLOSING DEVICE IN MANUFACTURING LINE FOR FOAMED RESIN PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold closing device capable of letting an upper mold perform closing operation without generating a large load and increasing the speed of closing operation when manufacturing foamed resin products. SOLUTION: In this device for clamping a molding mold 1 in which an upper mold 10 can be opened or closed against a lower mold 20 with a connecting part 11 at one side as a fulcrum and a rod body 15 is provided at the opposite side of the fulcrum, guide parts 5 which allow the rod body 15 to fit in and pass through in a travelling direction are provided on a rotary member 3 rotating along an orbit around the travelling part of the molding mold 1. During a period from the moment the rod body 15 located at a mold opening position a1 fits in a guide part 5 by the travelling of the molding mold 1 till the time when the rod body 15 passes the guide part 5, the rotary member 3 rotates in a mold closing direction to rotate the rod body 15 fitted in the guide part 5 to a closing position, thereby to close the upper mold 10.
