PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric razor having an increased introduction range for beard and preferable sharp cutting. SOLUTION: The electric razor includes a stator 2 composed of an electromagnet, and a linear actuator 1 composed of movers 3 including a permanent magnet and driven and reciprocated relative to the stator by excitation of the stator. The electric razor includes a screen 6 and cutters 5 driven by the linear actuator and making slide contact with the inner surface of the screen, and the linear actuator reciprocatingly drives both of the screen and the cutters in an opposite phase. The screen is reciprocatingly driven in the opposite phase to the cutters, the introduction range for the beard is increased by the movement of the screen, and direct driving of the screen prevents its reciprocation from stopping, even if the screen is pressed to the skin, so that the sharp cutting is maintained.
