PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suggest an optical waveguide for optically connecting optical circuits easily and at a high efficiency. SOLUTION: A projected optical waveguide 11 is inserted in a way to engage to a hole 3 drilled at the input/output part of light on an optoelectric hybrid substrate 14. Light 20 emitted from a plane type light emitting element 12 enters the projected optical waveguide, is emitted from the projected optical waveguide, is totally reflected on a 45 degree cut face 15 formed on the optical waveguide of the optoelectric hybrid substrate 14, turned by 90 degrees in the optical path, and introduced into an optical waveguide 13.
