PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio tag communication device capable of performing radio tag direction detection having a high resolution by processing as easy as possible. SOLUTION: The device includes a PAA weight control unit 54 for controlling the directivity of communication with a radio tag 14, and a direction detecting unit 53 for allowing the unit 54 to change the directivity of communication to detect the direction of the radio tag 14 on the basis of a direction in which communication sensitivity with the radio tag 14 is the minimum. By the configuration, a property capable of acquiring a relatively high resolution is utilized in a so-called null point in which the communication sensitivity with the radio tag 14 is the minimum, thereby preferably detecting the direction of the ratio tag 14 being a communication target.
