PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content sales system and program whereby media unique information can be transmitted to a distribution server, contents can be purchased even when a medium is not in a download terminal, input and transmission of accounting information by the download terminal are not required, and the distribution server manages no personal information. SOLUTION: Since the system is configured such that a mobile apparatus 10 transmits the accounting information to the distribution server 30 to purchase acquisition rights of an encrypted content key, the contents can be purchased even when a DVD medium 40 does not exist in a DVD recorder 20, entry and transmission of the accounting information are not required by the DVD recorder 20. Since the distribution server 30 has only to manage purchase IDs and content IDs, the distribution server needs not to manage personal information. Since the DVD recorder 20 contains the DVD medium 40 and transmits a download request of the contents including media unique information after the acquisition of the purchase ID by the mobile apparatus 10, the DVD recorder 20 can transmit the media unique information to the distribution server 30.
