PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic capacitor in which there is no release, etc. of an elastic sealing element from a sheathing case even if the operating pressure of a pressure valve is low and the forming region of the pressure valve, such as a small size electrolytic capacitor, etc. is limited and the pressure valve operating certainly is easily formed with a sufficient accuracy. SOLUTION: The electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element, the sheathing case with a cylindrical bottom containing the capacitor element, and the elastic sealing element for sealing the opening of the sheathing case. The elastic sealing element has a thin part, and a non-deforming part provided substantially near the center of the thin part and moving to the capacitor exterior side at an internal pressure rise time.
