PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium holding device which can achieve both enhancement in operativity for storing a storage medium holding device to which storage media are accommodated and the enhancement in arranging the multiple storage media inside an information processing device body. SOLUTION: A storage medium holding device 12 stores electronic data for each of devices, such as an electronic organizer and an electronic camera, and holds each of four pieces of a first storage medium 21a to a fourth storage medium 21d aligned in a rectangular cylinder shape with being free to insert or extract while securing sufficient spaces in-between. This storage medium holding device 12 is accommodated in an information processing device 11, for example, a server device or a personal computer device, via an opening 13 with being free to insert or extract. When the storage medium holding device 12 is stored in a state where it is extracted from the information processing device 11, the first storage medium 21a to the fourth storage medium 21d are aligned side by side, the storage medium holding device 12 itself is downsized.
