PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical apparatus and an image display method with which an image with appropriate grayscale numbers for an object display screen can be displayed. SOLUTION: The electrooptical apparatus comprises; a pixel element GE for displaying a pixel corresponding to a pixel data having a prescribed grayscale; a pixel driver GD corresponding to each pixel element GE; and an element processor EP corresponding to each pixel driver GD, which performs calculation for correcting the pixel data which is supplied for the pixel element, to the different grayscale numbers, by referring to an error data for the adjoining pixel element GE and which outputs the error data produced by the calculation for the adjoining pixel element GE.
