PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous filter cartridge which prevents the floating of the thin film due to the handling without a special device, in inserting and fixing a thin film to the inside of a cap member by handling with an automatic device, and to provide a method of manufacturing the cartridge. SOLUTION: A porous filter cartridge consists of a bottomed cylindrical cap 11 having an opening 15 at the center of the bottom part 13 and a porous filter 25 retained in the bottom part 13 inside the cap 11. A raised rib 31 protruding into the cap 11 to bend the outer peripheral edge 25b of the porous filter 25 is formed in a part of the circumference of the inner peripheral surface 29 on the side of the bottom part 13 in the inner peripheral surface 29 of the cap 11.
