DRIFT TYPE DETECTOR HAVING LITTLE NOISE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drift detector allowing reduction in noise capture effects of neutralizing current.

SOLUTION: This drift detector 601 generates an index signal that serves as an index of occurrence of collision of quanta inside a detection element 201. By using the index signal so as to neutralize a stored charge of the detection element 201, the intentionally increased neutralizing current is sent to the drift detector 601 during a limited time interval. A trigger can be applied on the basis of operation of an timer 501, 701.
