<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus to which a plurality of developing units are attached and in which the developing units can be efficiently and flexibly replaced, and to provide a driver program. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus for forming images with toners includes: a developing means to which the plurality of detachable developing units storing the respective toners are attached; and a control means for executing a replacement process for requested one or more developing units, which involves the process of moving the developing units of the developing means from the present attached positions based upon a request for the replacement of one or more developing units. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
