EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL FILTER FOR DIESEL INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve difficulty of sealing in a diesel exhaust emission control filter burning and removing collected particulate by alternately sealing both ends of a cell opening part of a honeycomb structure body to make exhaust gas pass through a cell side wall and flow in an adjoining cell and forming a catalyst layer on the cell side wall.

SOLUTION: The catalyst layer is not provided on a part on which sealing material of the filter is adhered and base material of the honeycomb structure body is exposed. When the sealing material is adhered on the part of the catalyst layer, adhering force of the sealing material becomes low and a sealing part easily comes off by impact or the like since the catalyst layer is fragile and a surface is rough. Adhering force of the sealing material can be increased for the sealing material not to easily come off by exposing base material of the honeycomb structure body and adhering the sealing material there.
