<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut down a depth of a lamp room and give a lighting tool design originality in a vehicle headlight equipped with a projector type lighting fixture unit. <P>SOLUTION: A projection lens 28 of the lighting fixture unit 20 is structured as a toroidal lens extended in circular arc shape in the same vertical cross section shape with a plumb line passing a given point A on a light axis Ax as a center axis. The projection lens 28 structures a vertical cross section shape of its rear-side surface 28b with a retroverted straight line, and a vertical cross section shape of its front-side surface 28a with a convex curve formed so as to position a rear-side focus F of the projection lens 28 on the light axis Ax. By the above, the projection lens 28 is made possible to arrange along a translucent cover 14 having a shape of surface slanted upward along the shape of the vehicle, the depth of the lamp room is shortened, and the projection lens 28 having the toroidal face is made visible through the translucent cover 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
