<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which recognizes the current situation by matching situations in the past and the present using optical information. <P>SOLUTION: A situation recognition apparatus includes a storage part 30 which stores a plurality of pieces of optical information and a processing part 20 which matches the plurality of pieces of optical information stored in the storage part 30 and newly acquired optical information, the storage part 30 further stores a hidden Markov model generated based on the plurality of pieces of optical information, the processing part 20 is provided with a distance vector calculation part 202 which calculates difference between each of the plurality of pieces of optical information and the newly acquired optical information, respectively and calculates a distance vector using a value indicating the difference as a vector factor, a distance vector storage part 203 which stores a plurality of the calculated distance vectors in an order from the newest one in time and a matching processing part 204 which performs matching using time series of the plurality of stored distance vectors and the hidden Markov model. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
