<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional organic thin film that can be formed by a simple method using a solution process, can be strongly adsorbed onto the surface of a substrate, and has high ordering property (crystallinity) and high-density packing characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The functional organic thin film using an organic silane compound expressed by the formula: A-B-C-SiX<SP>1</SP>X<SP>2</SP>X<SP>3</SP>(A is a monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group where halogen atom may be substituted for hydrogen atom, a group with carbon number of 16 to 30 if halogen atom is not substituted for, a group with carbon number of 13 to 25 if halogen atom is substituted for, B is oxygen atom or sulfur atom, C is a bivalent organic group showingπelectron conjugate, X<SP>1</SP>to X<SP>3</SP>are groups that each of them gives a hydroxyl group by hydrolysis), and the manufacturing method of the functional organic thin film that washes and removes an unreacted organic silane compound on a single molecular film with a nonaqueous organic solvent, after hydrolysis is performed on the silyl group of the organic silane compound to react with the surface of the substrate, and the single molecular film directly adsorbed to the substrate is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
