<p>A continuously variable transmission is provided to suppress a speed shifting shock by using an external diameter changer to realize an infinite number of speeds. A continuously variable transmission includes a first guide plate(12a), a first external diameter changer(14a), a second guide plate(12b), a second external diameter changer, a belt(22), and a hydraulic pressure supply unit. A pair of the first guide plates are mounted on a main shaft. The first external diameter changer is mounted between the first guide plates. A pair of the second guide plates are mounted on a sub shaft. The second external diameter changer is mounted between the second guide plates. The belt is connected between the first and second external diameter changers. The hydraulic pressure supply unit supplies a hydraulic pressure to the first and second external diameter changers.</p> |
