<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide transmission optimization for multicast at application levels. <P>SOLUTION: Data sources and multicast trees, which indicate a data communication structure for other members of a video conference, are generated for members of the video conference. The other members are data receivers who receive video and audio data from the data sources. An End-to-end transmission delay from each data source to each data receiver is judged, and then an available bandwidth between each data source and each receiver is determined. One or more multicast trees, each of which corresponds to one of the data sources, are refined with end-to-end transmission delays and available bandwidthes to optimize the data communication structure for the data sources in the video conference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
