PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the long life of a liquid developer cleaner which comes in contact with the surface of a moving body for transporting liquid developer and removes the liquid developer, secure removal of the liquid developer and improved quality of an developed image by preventing defective cleaning due to the breakage of the liquid developer cleaner. SOLUTION: Side surfaces except the edge of a squeeze cleaner 28Y made of a planar urethane rubber is pressure-contacted to a squeeze roller 21Y. The pressurized contact surface of the squeeze cleaner 28Y is not chipped off even in the usage for a long time, the long life of the squeeze cleaner 28Y can be obtained, the satisfactory cleaning performance is maintained and the liquid developer on the surface of the squeeze roller 21Y is reliably removed.
