PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanner device, information processing apparatus, image data encryption method, image data display method, image data encryption program and image data display program in which a user is capable of encrypting image data and utilizing the encrypted image data without managing an encryption key. SOLUTION: The scanner device that encrypts image data of an optically read image includes: an image data encryption means for encrypting the image data using a first encryption key; an encryption key transmission means for transmitting the first encryption key to an information processing apparatus that holds a second encryption key; an encryption key receiving means for receiving, from the information processing apparatus, the first encryption key that is encrypted by the information processing apparatus using the second encryption key; and an encrypted data storage means for storing the first encryption key that is encrypted by the second encryption key, received by the encryption key receiving means correspondingly to the image data encrypted by the image data encryption means.
