PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring camera apparatus capable of instantaneously and automatically controlling laser light into appropriate radiation intensity if a body to be irradiated is irradiated with laser light of too strong radiation intensity, in the monitoring camera apparatus comprising a laser light radiator that radiates laser light. SOLUTION: A monitoring camera apparatus 10 comprises a laser light radiator 11 that irradiates an object 2 to be monitored with laser light 3, and a monitoring camera body 16 for photographing the object 2 to be monitored irradiated with the laser light 3. The monitoring camera apparatus 10 further includes a control unit 21 for controlling radiation intensity of the laser light 3 radiated from the laser light radiator 11.
