PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of easily setting photographing conditions to obtain a desired image. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a photographing means (23) that includes an optical system (21) and an image sensor and generates a photographic image by converting and processing an optical image formed on the image sensor via the optical system; a display means (24) for displaying photographing information including the photographic image on a finder; a shutter switch (27) for designating timing for the photographing means to start photographing; a function setting means (33) for associating functions relating to photographing with each of a plurality of operating steps of the shutter switch; and function control means (32, 33) for operating a function relating to corresponding photographing in accordance with an operating step of the shutter switch.
